HARD ENDURO PIATRA NEAMT 2011 is officially registered on the racing calendar of the Romanian Federation of Motorcycle. This first edition will take place starting the 16th till the 18th of September 2011.
On every competition day the track is different, with a length of 60-70 km, fully marked with arrows and lane guidance, timed start to finish. At the separation between classes will be CPs with referees. This first edition of the contest will have three classes: Experts, Hobby and Girls.

Why Piatra Neamt? Both the city of Piatra Neamt and the natural surroundings have all the ingredients needed by enduro and especially hard enduro enthusiasts: climbing and descending the long and technical mountain paths, over and among boulders, waterfalls, endless rivers, fir roots and last but not least, and maybe most importantly, a soil mostly rocky or sandy, which makes the track to become after a rain fall only more technical and not an impossible and unpleasant mud for most competitors.
The Base Camp is located within Piatra Neamt Entertainment Complex situated at the mountain Cernegura foot, at 250 m downstream of the Bistrita river dam. Declared since 1968 as the largest entertainment park in Romania, definitely deserves this position if we think that here we meet two swimming pools, one Olympic size, a skating rink with a capacity of 150 persons and 648 sqm area, plus table tennis, tennis, basketball, volleyball facilities, a football field with artificial turf and equipped with night light system authorized by the Romanian Football Federation, track for roller and skateboards.

Here is a true miniature city if we consider the possibilities of accommodation (bungalows and little holidays houses), with terraces, restaurants, pools and playgrounds for children.
The office management desk, the closed park, the service parks, the awards ceremony, the festive meal, all take place here but the most unique aspect consists in that the enduro trails start right in front of this place.

A newly and highly enthusiastic team consisting of enduro professionals and practitioners from Bucharest, Brasov, Buzau and Piatra Neamt is ready to receive you at the first edition of the Hard Enduro Piatra Neamt having in mind to transform it in a future flagship hard enduro competition in Romania.
The occupants of the first 6 places in each class will be awarded.

With over 2000 years old, residence of the Neamt county, Piatra Neamt is placed in the North East of Romania, on the Bistrita river Valley just where it leaves the mountains.

With a population of about 110,000 inhabitants, the town is located in an intermountain basin at an altitude of 310 m, being surrounded by peaks as : Pietricica (590m) at SE, Cozla (679m) at N, Cernegura (852m) SV, Carloman (617m) at NV,, Batca Doamnei (462m) at SV.

The town is located at 350 km North of the capital Bucharest and belongs to the historical region of Moldova. The nearest airport is situated in Bacau, located 60 km South. The railway No.509 connects Piatra Neamt and Bucharest or Iasi. The national road DN 15 links to the city of Bacau DN15 (there DN2 links to Bucharest), Iasi, Suceava and Targu Mures.
